New York designer Jonathan Adler brings his comfy sofas to Bangkok
UPMARKET FURNISHINGS take centre stage at CentralWorld and Central Chidlom this month as New York-based brand Jonathan Adler introduces its Heaven Sent collection to Thai homes.
Boasting a palette of white and turquoise, the Ether settee has a simple design that looks and feels, well, like heaven. The chic cloud silhouette and lozenge-like form are enveloping and inviting and are guaranteed to turn lounging into an art form.
The Claridge sofa takes the guts of a Chesterfield and gives it a Modern American Glamour update. The finishing touch perches the haute hybrid on oversized brass orbs instead of traditional wooden bun feet to strike the perfect balance of formal and fresh. With a comfy depth and forgiving fabrics, this is the perfect addition to the family-friendly lounge.
Claridge sofa, Bt220,000
The Goldfinger sofa adds Modernist rigour to your condo pad with a pitched seat and soft, button-tufted cushions while the Kyoto Table lamp, taking inspiration from Japanese gardens, offers the textural quality of a solid brass branch as knotty as if carved by
Mother Nature. Place on one side of a long console balanced with a bulky objet or plant on either end for added impact.
Bargello diamonds Turquoise pillow, Bt6,200
The Bargello Diamonds Turquoise pillow features traditional needlecraft with long floats of wool embroidery to create geometric patterns. The combination of blues and citron is unexpectedly modern. Each accent pillow features a hand-stitched wool front and a luxurious velvet back and takes roughly 32 hours to make.
The Jonathan Adler store is on the first floor of Groove at CentralWorld and fifth floor of Central Chidlom. Find out more details at JonathanAdler.Thailand page on Facebook.
