Auspicious animals real and imagined adorn Jim Thompson’s Lunar New Year Holiday Collection
JIM THOMPSON is welcoming the Year of the Dog with a Holiday Collection of ready-to-wear apparel, home decor items and leather goods featuring auspicious Chinese symbols.
The mythical Pixiu – a winged lion – lends its ability to ward off evil and attract wealth to the collection, tigers and regular lions contribute promises of leadership and victory, and deer offer fulfilment and riches.
The crane appears, offering good health and success in work and school, and the dragon arrives with happiness and prosperity.
Grajaat leather bags, Bt32,000 and Bt42,000
The collection also features beautiful motifs of plants and flowers, connoting fertile nature. The key colours are pink and purple, promising to add vibrancy to your life, but they also bring out the opulent aesthetic of Jim Thompson style.
For women, there’s a Jacquard Tiger kimono, a short-sleeved tunic, printed silk scarves, Grajaat bags of genuine leather and silk, and embroidered silk Hobo bags.
For men there are printed neckties, pochettes, leather clutches, passport holders, key holders, zip-around wallets, coin cases, ring belts and bucket belts.
