American designer Jonathan Adler welcomes the Year of the Dog with some interesting sculptures for the home
THE NEW Chinese zodiac year is almost upon us and the upmarket New York-based brand Jonathan Adler is ushering in the Year of the Dog with a collection of pooches that will look great in any home.
With elemental forms and subtle layers of pattern and decoration, the white Menagerie Terrier sculpture was fired at the brand’s workshop in Peru and is finished with a soft satin matte glaze.
The glittering dachshund ring bowl was designed and sculpted by Adler and his team in a Soho studio, where it was cast in solid brass then polished to perfection by hand. A Menagerie Dachshund started its
journey in the Soho pottery studio using recycled ground glass from Portland that is melted during firing and pools into reservoirs of glossy colour in the hollow recesses.
The Mr & Mrs Fox White salt and pepper set is a spicy pairing for the dining table, while the Menagerie Hound ornament is handcrafted from white porcelain.
Jonathan Adler has branches on the ground floor of Groove at CentralWorld and fifth floor of Central Chidlom.
