Cartoon characters rule the sales at Central and Zen’s annual Sanrio Fair

THE MUCH-LOVED Sanrio Fair has returned to Central and Zen in Bangkok with more fun activities and discounted prices.

Continuing through December 20, the festival sees shelves stocked with the stationery, children’s apparel and lifestyle products, all bearing favourite Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty.

The figures appear on shocking-pink backpacks, vacuum bottles, ceramic tea sets, paper shopping bags, cardholders on neck straps and polo shirts.

The Kitten lines extends to cute dolls, pillows, eye masks and slippers in the shape of Bad Badtz Maru, Pompompurin, Gudetama, My Melody and Cinnamoroll.

Students will love the tin pencil cases, scissors in cases, four-in-one self-inking stamps, index notepads and A4 file holders.

Until November 29, people attending the fair at Central Lat Phrao can have their photo taken with a lovely Hello Kitty mascot from Japan, sample Hello Kitty treats by Mister Donut and decorate their fingernails with Hello Kitty stickers.
