Shopee, a leading mobile e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, recently cast its ambassadors, actor Nadech Kugimiya and actress Urassaya “Yaya” Sperbund in its first commercial that promotes online shopping.

“Thank to Shopee for giving me a chance to be an ambassador together with Nadech,” said Yaya. “I buy a lot of stuff online shopper, because online shopping is so convenient and, most importantly, saves time. I focus on the product’s quality and price in comparison with other websites as well as its promotion. I like Shopee because it allows you to ‘chat’ with the sellers direct,” she added.

“Traditionally shopping has been associated more with women than with men I guess partly because men don’t really like shopping, don’t have time or feel embarrassed about going on their own. Online shopping is perfect for my lifestyle and I really like that I can order stuff for someone at home in Khon Kaen and it gets sent there on time,” said Nadech

Shopee will offer a wide range of promotions with big discounts “flash deals” as well as daily giveaways and themed sales in the 9-day lead up to 9.9 Mobile Shopping Day. Additionally, Shopee has partnered with leading brands L’Oreal, Philips and Reckitt Benckiser, as well as its official partners, Singtel, Citibank and Agoda, to make 9.9 Mobile Shopping Day the biggest online shopping event of the year.

Shopee is now the number 1 Shopping app on both the Google Play Store and App Store. In the Philippines, Shopee has been downloaded MORE THAN 4 million times.
