Some 2,000 officers from the Royal Thai Armed Forces and other units on Thursday participated in the second full rehearsal at the 11th Infantry Regiment, King’s Guard, for the funeral procession carrying the Royal Urn of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej from the Grand Palace to Sanam Luang.

Despite the hot sun and light breeze, the soldiers practiced the three funeral processions to take place during the Royal Cremation on October 26.

The next two full-dress rehearsals, scheduled for October 7 and 15, will follow the actual funeral route in an attempt to ensure a perfect performance during the late King’s Royal Cremation.
