A CHARITY event has been conceived to raise money to construct a new building at Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Architecture.

The “Run for Better City” project aims to attract 3,000 participants, with each paying Bt800 to contest the event at the university on November 6. It will consist of a 2.5-kilometre, 5km and 10km run. Participants will receive a medal for finishing.
The registration period began yesterday.
“We need a new building to increase the utility space for the faculty. Although we receive some budget from the government, we still need more funds,” the faculty’s dean Assoc Prof Pinraj Khanjanusathiti said yesterday.
Prapakorn Vatanyakul, who is spearheading the project, said the faculty needed more space because of a big increase in student numbers. For more information on the event, see /run4bettercity.
