The Culture Ministry is planning to turn its three websites into a comprehensive database of important Thai cultural information.

“They will serve as cultural Web portals,” ministry permanent secretary Prisna Pongtadsirikul said yesterday.

The websites are: www.m-culture.go.th, www.ilovethaiculture.com and www.thaiculture.in.th

Prisna said the ministry has also developed the Thai Culture Route application to allow smartphone users easy access to information when they visit cultural attractions.

“QR Codes for the information will be posted at the attractions,” she said.

She said the ministry also operated a Cultural Hotline. “You can call 1765 for more information related to the ministry and Thai culture,” she said.

Prisna said the ministry had decided to develop the websites and the smartphone application because it recognised them as important channels to connect with members of the younger generation.
