Experimental tablet application launched

The Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) on Monday unveiled a pilot project under the Thailand Smart Education scheme, in search for solutions that would boost tablets' efficiency in support the education sector.



 
The pilot project will be experimented at Chulalongkorn University's demonstration school (primary level). 
ICT Minister Anudith Nakornthap said that TOT developed the computer programme for tablets. The programme is designed to help teachers develop new subjects. It will also support E-learning. The programme is also working on the cloud computing environment.
"This will allow all students to make more use of tablets, in line with the new trend. ICT can help improve Thailand's education efficiency and the nation's education quality," he said.
