Cool jazz from the Big Apple

A rising star on the New York jazz scene, Emily Braden will be flying in from the Big Apple to perform with the Randy Cannon Group at The Living Room of Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit from June 13 to July 7.

The winner of New York City’s “Best of the Best” Jazzmobile Vocal Competition, Braden has been described as “the sound of the new Harlem.” The signature sound of this magnetic performer is an effortless blend of jazz and soul. Her debut album “Soul Walk” is composed of high-energy original songs and “flipped-out” jazz standards. Producer Misha Piatigorsky said of the gifted artist, “As a singer, Emily has no boundaries. She gives me goose bumps,” while singer Dee Daniels said “she possesses all the qualities that precedes the rising of a new star. I’m so pleased to have had the opportunity to witness her talent at this point on her path to global recognition as a great jazz vocalist.” 

Braden wins the heart of her audience with her powerhouse vocals and striking stage presence. She has performed at notable New York City venues such as the Blue Note Jazz Club as part of the Late Night Groove Series, Birdland Jazz Club, Le Poisson Rouge, BAM Cafe and Minton’s Playhouse, as well as on the international festival circuits. 

The Randy Cannon Group features Cannon on piano. drummer Willard Dyson and bassist Therdsak Wongvichien on Tuesday and Wednesday and fellow bass player, Alex Sergeenko Thursday to Saturday.

Emily Braden and the Randy Cannon Group will perform Tuesday to Thursday from 9.15pm onwards and every Friday and Saturday from 8.30pm onwards.
