Mahidol Music College wins five awards at Osaka Music Competition

Students from College of Music, Mahidol University has recently won five awards at Osaka Music Competition 2013 held during October 5-14.



There were nine students from Mahidol competing in the final round and they were successfully awarded five prizes as followed:
 
SECTION I
Vocal Music Age-U Category Opera Course - Avenir Prize; Sasinee Aswajesdakul (BM Year 2)

Folk Instruments Category
- Second Prize; Narisara Sakpunjachot, Saw-ou (BM Year 3)
- Espoir Prize; Numpark Sribanditmongkol, Saw-duang (PC Year 3)
 
Poongizina Saxophone Quartet - Second Prize Ensemble Category
- Methawut Pimphapatana, Soprano Saxophone (BM Year 2)
- Chirat Cherdkiatkul, Alto Saxophone (BM Year 1)
- Pulaporn Sreewichian, Tenor Saxophone (BM Year 3)
- Piyaphon Assawakarnjanakit, Baritone Saxophone (BM Year 3)
 
Third Prize - Duo Category
- Lalit Worathepnitinan, Soprano (BM Year 4)
- Pongsakorn Lertvanitsutha, Trumpet (BM Year 4
