Disney Thailand has announced that the sequel to the hit 2015 TV movie “Descendants” will hit small screens in Thailand on August 20 at 9am.

“Descendants 2” focuses on the adventures of the teenage sons and daughters of Disney’s most infamous villains. The story picks up where “Descendants” (2015) left off with the gang of Villian Kids – Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay – settling into their new lives in the idyllic kingdom of Auradon. When the pressure to fit in becomes too overwhelming for Mal, she returns to the Isle of the Lost where she meets Uma and her Pirate Gang, who plan to unleash all the villains imprisoned on the Isle.

Mal, the daughter of Maleficent and now the girlfriend of King Ben, is struggling to shed her Isle exterior and is overwhelmed by what she thinks is expected of her as the soon-to-be “Lady of the Court”. She secretly turns to her magic spell book to help her portray an image of royal perfection, but when the pressure mounts, she returns to her rotten roots on the Isle of the Lost, the only place she feels like she can be her true self.

While his mother instilled in him a fear of dogs…and women, Carlos, the teenage son of Cruella de Vil, learns to overcome both as he comes into his own at Auradon Prep. He leans on his best friends Jay and Dude the dog to try and work up the courage to ask his crush to the Royal Cotillion ball; and his tech-savviness continues to prove to be a useful skill.

Evie, Mal’s best friend and daughter of the Evil Queen, is now a popular fashion designer with a booming business, “Evie’s 4 Hearts.” She’s fitting in very comfortably at Auradon and is not looking back to her life on the Isle. She learns to accept that where she came from is part of who she is and uses her new-found success to give others a chance to realise their dreams, just like she was able to.

With his stealing days behind him, Jay, the son of Jafar. Jay focuses his time on Auradon athletics and has earned the role of captain of Auradon’s “Swords and Shields” team. He meets his match in Lonnie, who surprises him with her skills in the arena, but when she pushes for a spot on the team, he must make a choice between breaking the rules and risking his position as captain.

The show features six original songs, including the high-energy opening number “Ways To Be Wicked” and toe-tapping pop rock anthem, “What’s My Name”.
