BEC-Tero has unveiled its multi-venue entertainment complex Show DC on Bangkok’s Rama IX Road.

The 43-rai site near RCA boasts nine indoor halls and outdoor arenas suitable for a wide range of events. Eight are already in operation and the ninth will open next year.

BEC-Tero has for more than 30 years been Thailand’s premier organiser of concerts and other public events and brings its expertise in staging shows, production, marketing and hi-tech ticket distribution to the new venue.

Managing director Brian Marcar says the firm’s three decades of experience in show business ensures success for its new partnership with Show DC.

The outdoor spaces at Show DC are the 20,000-seat Oasis Arena and the Oasis Garden with capacity for 5,000.

The indoor spaces include the multipurpose Atrium in the centre of the mall with cylindrical LED screens, the Bangkok Tourist Lounge, Studio 9, the Performance Hall and the Show Art Hall primarily for exhibitions. Also indoors are the Ong Bak Ultra Arena with a permanent “Ong Bak Live” show and the Himmapan Avatar Theatre with its permanent “Himmapan Avatar” show.

All venues are now open except for the Performance Hall, due to be unveiled in 2018. It is expected that around 1,000 events will be held at SHOW DC venues each year, generating Bt500 million in income.
