Whether you're making a presentation or chilling out with a movie, the Yoga tablet 2 Pro will keep you smiling

A NEW POWERFUL tablet computer that’s designed for multimedia use, the Lenovo Yoga tablet 2 Pro comes with a Pico projector, large high resolution screen and a powerful sound system.
It’s powered by an Intel Z3745 quad-core processor running at 1.8 GHz and equipped with 2 GB DD3 RAM working memory and 32 GB internal storage. It operates on the Android 4.4 operating system.
It comes with an excellent 13-inch screen with a very high resolution of 2560x1440-pixels that allows it to deliver life-like images, which is great if you want to look at photos or video clips.
The Pico projector, which is built into the right side, can project a 16:9 high resolution image onto any surface for an instant 50-inch theatre experience. And the sound is enhanced thanks to the tablet’s 8 watt sound system with a built-in subwoofer.
The sound system consists of JBL twin front-facing speakers, a 5-watt subwoofer and Dolby surround sound.
Lenovo says it came up with the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro after its research showed that an increasing number of people are using tablets to consume the digital media in their lives – photos, videos and games.
Its findings showed that 88 per cent of users devour large amounts of digital content on tablets at home, and more than half watch TV several times a week on their tablet.
With the built-in projector and powerful sound system, the new tablet can serve as a complete home theatre and entertainment package.
It has a slider for adjusting the projected picture and good battery life with up to three hours playback time before it needs to be plugged in. It projected sharp and clean pictures to my wall and it was easy to adjust the sharpness of the picture.
Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro has no 3G connection. The data connection has to be linked with Wi-Fi hotspot.
We found the tablet impressively powerful. Its touch-screen and menus were responsive and is played HD videos smoothly. The graphics games ran fast and smoothly.
The tablet can be used in four modes – Hold, Stand, Tilt and Hang.
The battery cylinder at the bottom provides an ergonomic grip and up to 15 hours of reading. When you grab the cylinder with your left hand, the tablet is in Hold mode and feels similar to holding a book.
When you place it on the desk, the battery cylinder makes the screen tilt backward, into Tilt mode.
Behind its back is an enhanced kickstand that can be opened putting it in Stand mode. Or you can rotate the stand nearly 180 degree to hang the tablet on a hook.
YOGA Tablet 2 Pro is preloaded with Lenovo’s new DOit suite of apps, including SHAREit, SYNCit, and SECUREit. The camera is controlled with the SNAPit app and its photo gallery with SEEit.
For example, you can use SHAREit to share files with friends who have also installed the app. The sharing is done via fast Wi-Fi connection, which is 40 times faster than Bluetooth connection.
You can use SYNCit to back up your contacts to the cloud storage that Lenovo will allocate to you once you register for an account.
Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 Pro retails for THB22,490.
