THE THAI ASSOCIATION of Boston will stage a concert on December 4 in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Held at the Berklee Performance Centre in Boston, the event will feature 12 pieces composed by the revered monarch.
“We humbly recall His Majesty’s devotion to his people during his seven-decade reign,” the association announced in a statement.
Born in the United States on December 5, 1927, His Majesty ascended the throne in 1946 and was regarded as the country’s father throughout his reign. He passed away peacefully in his 89th year on October 13.
The event titled “Sound of the King” will focus on the late monarch’s outstanding musical talents. The performance will start at 7pm with the Royal Anthem and will finish with the anthem again at 10pm.
“The audience will be invited to sing along with the last rendition of the anthem,” the association said.
