Children’s brand Little Sister celebrates Mother’s Day on August 12 by launching the inaugural “Classic Collection” complete with gift sets for mothers who are welcoming newborns to the world.

Since setting up the label, Matina Sukhahuta has worked hard to ensure that kids can express their creativity and create fantasies through dressing up. The new collection updates classic and often forgotten silhouettes with signature ruffles, bows, and bibs in novelty fabrications for infants and toddlers and also features gift sets boasting onesies or front-tied dresses, bonnets, hand-crocheted slippers and Little Sister’s signature Love Doll. This classic collection is available from August 10 at Little Sister Playhouse, Central Chidlom.

Where cultures clash

Marni welcomes the end of summer with a quirky elegance perfectly attuned with the Marni DNA. Boxy bags are paired with cartoon gloves and shoes. Coats work as wrappers and boast a lining that is surprisingly robust on the outside and delightful on the inside with a pattern that includes knots, dots, grids, checks and chequerboards. In creative designer Francesco Risso’s words, they’re severe on the outside and perverse on the inside. See them for yourself at the Marni store at Erawan Bangkok.

Blurring realities

Hermes Singapore brings a poetic creation to its Liat Towers with an art installation by contemporary Japanese artist Haruka Kojin titled “Contact Lens”. The architecturally trained Kojin uses various sized acrylic lenses to distort space and perception, offering an optical illusion where colours and patterns of objects suspended in mid-air are mirrored and magnified. By peering through both macro and micro lenses, visitors discover Hermes objects featuring the illustrations of prominent architect and cartographer, Nigel Peake. The exhibition continues through October 3 at the Hermes store in Orchard Road.

Pine for the eyes

Korean premium skincare brand, Sulwhasoo, introduces its new 0“Timetreasure Renovating Eye Serum” with Golden Eye Care Massager. The new eye serum, which retails for Bt8,500, is infused with red pine, bringing youthful radiance and firmness to the delicate eye area. The weightless serum seeps lightly into the skin to quickly deliver active ingredients to the sagging skin around eyes. The creamy, delicate formula gently absorbs into the skin, minimising the risk of skin irritations. The Golden Eye Care Massager, meanwhile, is designed specifically for the delicate skin around the eyes taking into account applied force, surface areas, and pressure.
