The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui recently held a cocktail reception in thanks for the support it’s enjoyed since its opening last year.
The resort uses an “intertwining” concept in combining the brand’s service with the traditional spirit of Thai hospitality and colourful Samui island life.
The party at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel began with a speech by Mahmoud Skaf, area general manager.
“The Ritz-Carlton team has been grown bigger than ever,” he said. “Both Thai and foreign tourists have given the resort their attention and let us be a part in creating a perfect holiday journey.
“This year is another year for us to grow. I am gearing the Ritz-Carlton towards one of the most desirable heaven-on-earth destinations. I am hoping you’ll enjoy the new activities we have planned for you.”
Celebrities on hand included Monlahcha and Chutimon Skulthai, Sombatsara Teerasaroch, Polpat Asavaprapha, Sikanya Saktidej Bhanuband, Nachanok Ratanadaros, Pita Limjaroenrat, Kwankao Svetavimala, Disalada Disayanon and Marina Balenciaga.
Many more have stayed at the resort, among them Janie and Mickey Allapach Na Pombhejara, Sirinya Burbridge Bishop, Sirin Preediyanon, Napassorn Buranasiri, Preechaya Pongthananikorn, Amena Gul, Sopidnapa Chumpani, Taya Rogers, Keerati and Ariigantha Mahapreukpong.
Seated among 58 acres, the resort boasts suites and villas that echo local architectural aesthetics, with large windows for panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand.
A variety of culinary options is served in the bar, lounge and poolside, and outdoor pavilion highlights the exceptional natural serenity.
