Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and The Mall Group recently joined up to launch the new SCB M campaign with a star-studded party that introduced a innovative cardless shopping experience to Thailand’s retail scene.
Designed around a “Call it eMperience” concept, the Runway Evolution show led by actress Davika “Mai” Hoorne and some 200 celebrities, broadened the audience’s world of innovation with a timeline of futuristic innovations from numerous periods.
The campaign offers shoppers privileges for their spending both within The Mall Group’s stores and outside in forms of reward points and special discounts, plus on-top conveniences from tech-infused services such as I-Reserved Parking and personalised customer care via TMG Line Business Connect and chatbot.
The SCB M Cards come in three types: SCB M Visa credit cards, which can be divided into SCB M Legend Visa Infinite, SCB M Luxe Visa Signature and SCB M Live Visa Platinum, SCB M Debit Card and SCB M Visa Prepaid Card.
“The new partnership between SCB and The Mall Group is a sequel to our earlier collaboration late last year to co-create “The First Cashless Retail Experience” via QR payment in response to digital lifestyle of modern-day consumers and to lead the way towards Retail 4.0,” said Arthid Nanthawithaya, president and chief executive officer of Siam Commercial Bank.
“We have created a new synergy to transform shopping into a seamless experience in which the online and offline worlds are interconnected by digital technology. Based on the ‘First Evolution of Experiential Shopping’, it addresses all lifestyle needs and preferences of the customers, introducing them to what we call ‘eMperience’, an experience tipped to become a model for Thailand’s retail industry.”
Lifestyle needs will be completely met by a variety of co-branded credit cards, debit card and prepaid card along with payment technologies and channels across Electronic Signing, Online Shopping Platform and Payment Gateway.
Shoppers can enjoy spending for longer thanks to introduction of chatbot that responds to queries and suggests personalised promotions to each customer in real time to ensure the most memorable shopping experience.
“The Mall Group is set to transform retail through our partnership with SCB. We are creating a big evolution in financial solutions by merging digital banking with lifestyle shopping,” said Supaluck Umpujh, chairwoman of The Mall Group.
SCB M customers can earn a maximum of 4,000 reward points upon reaching four payment transactions with no minimum amount for each, reward points for every Bt25 spent, extra points for Bt1 million spending swappable for mileage points for redemption of flights to Europe for two, and to reserve a parking space in the shopping malls via I-Reserved Parking.
