Chukkas for breast cancer

The annual mortality rate per 100,000 people from breast cancer in Thailand has increased by 70.5 per cent since 1990, an average of 3.1 per cent a year.



To help raise awareness of the disease, the chairman of B Grimm Group and president of Thailand Equestrian Federation Harald Link and Nuntinee Tanner, Thailand’s first female polo player and the chairman of the competition are organising the “10th Queen’s Cup Pink Polo 2018” charity polo competition, which rewards the winner with Her Majesty the Queen’s cup .

The event, which takes place on Saturday (March 3) at the Thai Polo and Equestrian Club, Pattaya aims to mobilise fund for the Breast Cancer Project of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Association. 

Teams participating in this year’s competition are made up of players from the globe and include La Familia Team Malaysia, KidsLari Team Malaysia, La Esperanza Team Singapore,La Tablita Polo Team from Germany and the Thai Polo Team, Thailand led by Caroline Link in which all teams have to face one another under 4 Chukka while the two final teams will compete to win Her Majesty the Queen’s cup for the final match. The event kicks off at noon.
