Southeast Asia delivery company Ninja Van has announced a new and huge injection of cash thanks to exponential growth so it can become bigger and better in its markets in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

“The region is ripe for development after years of high growth,” says CEO Lai Chang Wen.

“We already have an established network in Southeast Asia covering six high-growth logistics markets. This new capital will be invested to further improve technology and operational capabilities to help Ninja Van continue our drive to offer hassle-free delivery methods to businesses of all sizes.

Ninja Van has achieved strong growth driven by the booming Southeast Asia e-commerce sector and currently manages millions of deliveries a month. Through its sophisticated technology and widespread bases, the company provides for businesses of all sizes a powerful network. 

It can now offer an even better service by increasing its staff to more than 1,000 professionals. 

The company is currently working with established, blue-chip investors such as The Abraaj Group (a global growth markets private equity investor), ACE Capital (Taiwan-based venture capital firm focused on investing in Asia), B Capital Group (global venture capital firm that invests in pioneering B2B and B2B2C companies primed to scale across the global stage), DPD group (one of the largest international parcel delivery networks in Europe), Monk’s Hill Ventures (a venture capital firm investing in early-stage tech start-ups) and YJ Capital (corporate venture capital that is involved in all stages of investments). 

Ninja Van started operations in Singapore in 2014 to address the logistics needs of customers by offering them options of tracking their parcels, receiving real-time updates and gaining access to different pickup points. 

Recognising that people across Southeast Asia want a consistent hassle-free delivery experience regardless of from where they buy (domestic and/or international) and clients want a singular access point into the region, we decided to expand our network to cover the region.
