Central continues to mark its 70th anniversary with the launch of this year’s floral festival at Central Chidlom and Central Embassy that promises to delight fans of big blooms and highlights the sweet scented Ecuadorian roses.

Shoppers can enjoy the surprising “Giant Flower Carpet” within the spectacular Glass House, along with entertainment activities and great promotions. The festival runs from November 16 to 20 at Central Chidlom and until November 26 at Central Embassy.

Sirikate Chirakiti, co-president, notes that the store has organised the flower festival for the past 23 years and promises an even bigger and better showcase as the company marks 70 years of business. “We are showing plenty of local and imported flowers, especially the roses from Ecuador. Our concept, “Love and Commitment” represents our strong bond with our customers,” he says.

The Central Chidlom showcase begins on the first floor with flowers in bright red hues blazing a path to the piano hall. The Lobby Lounge boasts walls of red roses representing the love Central has for its customers. The second floor is recreated as a cactus garden with vibrant colours and a giant swing. The children’s department on the third floor reminds shoppers of past events with giant books presenting the floral decorations featured from 2007 to 2014.

On the fourth floor, the men's department features a large wooden conical structure resembling a tunnel with fresh flowers inside, while the fifth floor is decorated with a lacy structure of white flowers. At Kids on the 6th floor has decorated a big cow with flowers and there’s a milk line flowing down, all of it made with fresh flowers. Finally, the seventh floor boasts quality products from the Royal Project and rare cold climate flowers.

Over at Central Embassy, the ground floor is home to a Glass House decorated with thousands of flower and a giant carpet of red blooms that’s best viewed from upstairs.

The opening ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 16 at 6.30pm on the G floor of Central Embassy with superstar Patchrapa “Aum” Chaichua playing the Queen of Phoenix with the largest brow pearl in the world and a diamond necklace worth more than Bt700 million courtesy of Beauty Gems.
