Organised by the Nutrition Association of Thailand under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the 11th Thailand Congress of Nutrition was held recently at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Bitec) Bang Na and saw companies, nutritionists and institutions showcasing and discussing their contributions towards a healthy diet for life.
Leading company Nestle’s exhibition at the TCN featured its scientific knowledge and expertise, highlighting the company’s continuous improvement of healthier and tastier products for all stages of life as well as promoting exercise education programmes.
The company hosted a lunch symposium to share the progress of the “United For Healthier Kids” programme with students, lecturers, nutritionists, dieticians, and health professionals to inspire them to promote nutrition and encourage positive health behaviours among Thai children in a sustainable manner.
Various activities relating to nutrition for health and quality of life for individuals and families were provided for visitors and included a demonstration of how to make pocket sandwiches and Thai mackerel onigiri. Children can get involved in making these recipes as they are easy to prepare. All family members can enjoy them as the recipes are tasty as well as nutritious, covering five food groups.
