Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is celebrating the Loy Krathong Festival with a special feast of Thai delicacies and grilled meats on November 3.

Loy Krathong marks the ancient Thai tradition of honouring the Water Goddess with small lotus-shaped vessels that celebrants float to wash away their sins and ask for good luck in the coming year.

The Terrace Rim Naam restaurant will delight diners with a delicious Thai market-style buffet serving favourites from all over the country, while a traditional Thai folk music and dancing performances add a colour to the night. Guests get a krathong and float it on the Chao Phraya River. The buffet is priced at Bt4,500 and Bt3,000 for children.

Or enjoy the idyllic setting of the BBQ Riverside Terrace restaurant and feast on a wide selection of Thai and international dishes. It’s priced at Bt3,500 for adults and Bt1,300 for children.
