The world’s a stage – and so is the BACC

The sixth edition of the popular Performative Art Festival has now been confirmed and this year will run from August 17 until December 17 at the Studio on the fourth floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.

Organised by the BACC in collaboration with the Performing Artists’ Network, the festival aims to promote performing arts as a bridge between artists and the public, as well as to encourage dialogue and exchange of ideas. 

Various types of performances including dance and plays by both local and international artists will be featured alongside artists’ talks and workshops

The highlights of this year’s festival include “Love Astray” by Anatta Theatre Troupe running from August 17 to 27, “The Voyage” by the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Thammasat University from September 1 to 3, and B-floor Theatre “Ceci n'est pas la politique” from September 20 to October 1.

The Asiatopia Performance Workshop also returns with lectures and a performance by Bartolom Ferrando from October 17-20, and the Bangkok Theatre Festival 2017 is also back, with lots of performances scheduled from November 2 to 19.

Friends of the Arts Foundation will stage its International Dance Festival 2017 from November 23 to December 3 and the festival will close out with “Something Missing” by B-floor Theatre & Theatre Momggol from December 12-17.
