Chulalongkorn University’s Engineering Faculty and the True Group announced the establishment of a joint innovation centre at the university to develop 5G technology and solutions. True is also providing research scholarships to students from the undergraduate to doctoral levels, with an aim to help drive Thailand in the 5G era.
The TrueLab@ChulaEngineering: 5G & Innovative Solution Centre is due to be in a 600-square metre site at the Faculty of Engineering. The centre is being built to promote and support research, development and innovation in 5G technology for use in educational, medical, transport and industrial practices. It will be an important venue for learning and training, exhibiting case studies, exchanging ideas as well as sharing experiences in the form of open innovation, in which True will provide technical support, including equipment and devices, expertise and funds for researchers and students.
