According to a survey conducted by Asia IoT (internet of things) Business Platform in 2017, companies in Thailand were most likely (89 per cent) to explore and implement IoT solutions.
This was followed by Malaysia (86 per cent), Indonesia (83 per cent), the Philippines (80 per cent) and Vietnam (79 per cent). Thailand's IoT spending is forecast to increase by 1,600 per cent by 2020, the firm said.
"Thailand is one of the fastest growing markets in Asean and the government's ambition is to develop the country, by advancing infrastructure and connectivity. There is significant potential for businesses in Thailand to provide technological support and facilitate that growth,” said Pornchai Pruksaratananon, a committee member of the Thai Embedded Systems Association.
