Xiaomi has announced two new flagship smartphones for the Thai market. And the company has engaged VST ECS to distribute their products in this country.
Xiaomi Mi 6 and Redmi Note 4 are designed to support mid-range market in Thailand,
Donovan Sung, product and marketing director of Xiaomi, the Mi 6 comes with Snapdragon 835 based on the cutting-edge 10nm processor technology, a 6GB RAM, and a 5.15-inch full HD display with reduced glare. Prices start at Bt13,790. The Redmi Note 4 smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon, offering a 13MP CMOS camera and 5MP front camera, and priced at Bt6,790. It is available in black, dark grey and gold colors.
To boost its smartphones in Thai market, Xiaomi has appointed VST ECS as executive distributors to deliver its products to market. VST ECS now has 10 branches and reach of 4,500 dealers to distribute smartphones in the country. The distributor will provide after-sales service and support for Xiaomi products.
“Thailand is one of the important markets in Asia Pacific,” said Sung.
“Thailand is our third footprint country following Indonesia and Vietnam in this region.”
Xiaomi’s products can also be found via e-commerce platform Lazada, which is e-commerce platform.
He said that the firm sold around 23 million smartphones in the second quarter of this year, making it one of the top five smartphone manufacturers worldwide. He hopes to ship 100 million smartphones by the end of next year.
