Thailand is considered one of the safest investment destinations in Asia in the latest edition of Euromoney's country risk survey.
The magazine's survey based on economists' opinions puts Thailand on the 49th rank in the world across a range of political, economic and structural risk criteria.
In the survey, Thailand is rated higher than Turkey, Hungary and Russia. Economists also judged the country to be less risky than either India or Indonesia.
Thailand’s political risk score however is higher than the average score for countries in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Thailand's ranking is higher than India (56), Indonesia (57), the Philippines (65), Brunei (67), Sri Lanka (68), and Vietnam (86), Bangladesh (119), and Pakistan (132).
