Twelve Mathayom 3 boys apologised to two Mathayom 2 students they assaulted on two separate occasions last month, as well as to the victims’ parents, in a ceremony held on Tuesday.

The attacks at Anubal Koh Kha School in Lampang on January 4 and January 14 were recorded on video clips that went viral on Thai social media and reached the attention of the parents of the two assaulted boys, who then filed police complaints.

School director Manop Pakniannart organised the apology ceremony at which the offending students and their parents met with the victims and their parents, discussed what had happened, and apologised.

With the parents of both groups were in tears, the wrongdoing students said they were sorry for their reckless action.
