Frozen dew covered the popular Doi Inthanon tourist destination in Chiang Mai again on Thursday morning as the mercury on top of the mountain fell to 1 degree Celsius.
Wasan Chanthep, assistant chief of the Doi Inthanon National Park, said a thin layer of ice covered grass and leaves on top of the mountain.
While the top of the mountain had the lowest temperature of 1C, the Kiew Mae Pan viewpoint had a temperature of 4C.
The park is in Chiang Mai's Jom Thong district. Officials also reported that the Doi Ang Khang mountaintop in Chiang Mai's Fang district saw the temperature drop to 8C.
