There were nine cars splattered with the hard-to-remove paint during Songkran in Phuket, according to police.
A construction worker, Payak Samniangmai, 29, who works near where the cars were splashed with acrylic paint on April 13, was arrested Wednesday.
Most of the victims said their cars were attacked in front of a hotel just before Nai Yang beach front and said a group of men were responsible. Saku police said they found that they were a group of construction workers seen in the area.
Payak was taken to Saku police station and confessed that he was the one of the men who threw the paint, the police said.
