Krabi police, along with Police Region 8 officers, say they have arrested six drug dealers from one of the biggest networks in the South and seized their assets, worth about Bt26.5 million.

The alleged drug dealers arrested were Kriangsak Rangsiyangkul, 40, from Bangkok, and Nan Saung Kham from Myanmar, along with Krabi residents Pornsawan Dindaeng, 34, Pitchsinee Patimin, 22, Peerapong Kanpetch, 26, and Sittiporn Sarawaree, 53.

The deputy commander of Police Region 8, Pol Maj-General Teerapol Kuptanon, said that on April 27 last year, police arrested Premsap Ngankaeng with a stash of drugs and, on August 29, they arrested Somporn Ratchapiboon with 486,000 amphetamine pills and 10 kilograms of methamphetamine. Somporn was the person who kept and transported the drugs and collected money from clients, and his wife, Pitchsinee, transferred money to the prepared accounts.

Police said that the money circulating in the network from April to August was about Bt86 million.

After arresting the six suspects, police seized 27 items including title deeds for a building in Nuaklong District, Krabi, two vans, four cars, a pickup truck, a tractor, two motorcycles, a .380ACP pistol with 21 bullets, Bt136,590 in cash, a safe box, a golden bracelet weighing 23.44 grams, a golden necklace weighing 16.9 grams, a platinum necklace with three amulets, a plain platinum ring, a Rolex watch, a platinum ring with diamonds, jewelled earrings, a golden amulet locket weight 3.21 grams, three flat-screen TVs, three Samsung mobile phones, a CCTV camera, bank book, and other items worth about Bt26.5 million.
