Trang police have arrested two Myanmar nationals for allegedly killing one of the men’s Thai wife in Trang’s Khok Yang district.
Pol Lt-Colonel Anuchai Suayngam, an inspector at the Khok Yang police station, said one man identified only as “Oh”, 29, and his 24-old Myanmar friend referred to as “O”, were arrested late Wednesday night at their relative’s house in the district.
Oh reportedly admitted that he had killed his Thai wife, Wilintha Pilaphan, 33, out of jealousy earlier on Wednesday on the suspicion that she was going to break up with him and return to live her former husband.
Oh, a rubber tapper, has been living with the woman for two years.
He said his friend had helped him conceal the body by putting her inside a large bin and hiding it at a rubber plantation near the women’s home earlier on Wednesday. The bin was spotted by villagers at 2pm.
