A Myanmar woman and her three-year-old son drowned when mountain runoff hit their house and washed their bodies away in Tak’s Umphang district early on Friday.
Umphang district chief Prate Phothiam said Sertha village in Tambon Nong Luang was hit by the mountain runoff at 3am.
He said runoff collapsed the house where Ma-ae was living with her daughter. The two drowned and their bodies were found some 20 metres away from the house.
The district chief said the runoff also damaged some 30 houses in Delorkhee village in Tambon Nong Luang
