Krung Thai Bank on Monday announced a cut of 0.50 of a percentage point in its minimum retail rate to 7.12 per cent, with effect from Tuesday.

Bank president Payong Srivanich said the move was aimed at supporting the country’s economy by helping small and medium-sized enterprises to compete with larger companies. KTB has also launched its latest campaign, “SME 4.0”, which offers special small-business loans worth Bt6 billion in total at a special interest rate of no more than 4.5 per cent.
