An increasing number of Dhammakaya Temple supporters inside the temple compound have reportedly been showing signs of ill health, while doctors on the scene called for ambulances via the centralised emergency hotline 1669 on Thursday, the 15th day since authorities cordoned off the temple in a search for the fugitive former abbot Phra Dhammachayo.

The atmosphere at the nearby Klong Luang Central Market, where a number of protesters are camping out, was calm, with Dhammakaya monks collecting alms as usual in the presence of police and army officers.

The Department of Special Investigation also allowed food from the market to be delivered to the temple via Gate 7, which is the only entry point for monks returning from alms collecting as officers screen people entering the compound for contraband items.
