The Department of Airports urged domestic airlines to increase flights from and to Surat Thani International Airport after the Nakhon Si Thammarat International Airport’s services were suspended for two days.

A statement from the department’s PR team said the department has coordinated with airlines to increase flights at Surat Thani airport.

The statement added that the Asia Highway was partially flooded so the Surat Thani airport had coordinated with the provincial administration and the military to provide military trucks to transport passengers to and from the airport.

The statement said the airports in Narathiwat, Chumphon, Trang, Krabi, and Ranong have not been affected by flooding.
