Young artist Art Jeeno brings his popular girl character Now back to life in “NOW 2”, which opens at Gallery 36 at Pullman Bangkok Hotel G on August 23.

For the show, the artist, whose real name is Piyaphach Jeeno, continues to develop creative ideas that were first explored in “NOW” in Chiang Mai in 2013. The original show enjoyed critical acclaim and was published as a book without dialogue.

This second exhibition takes the viewer into Now’s life through a series of expressive oil on canvas paintings that are filled with emotion.

Piyaphach was born and raised in Chiang Mai. A graduate of Chiang Mai’s Faculty of Fine Art, he currently works as a full-time independent cartoonist. He was recognised with a Bronze award at the International Manga Awards in Japan in both 2014 and 2015 for his popular cartoon book, “D Day and Juice”.

The opening party is on August 23 from 6pm and the show runs through October 22.
