Hmong women in costumes perform “Pov Pob”, a traditional ball-throwing game on Tuesday as part of the Hmong New Year 2018 celebrations held in six locations in Phitsanulok’s Chat Trakan and Nakhon Thai districts.

The festival sees people come together in their finest Hmong clothing to feast, dance and spend time with friends and family.

It is also a special time for romance, as many couples engage in courtship rituals through “Pov Pob”.
