The ballet performance “Katya & the Prince of Siam” will be held in Bangkok as part of celebrations to mark the 120th anniversary of Russia-Thailand diplomatic relations
The Russians have been busy with celebrations for the 120th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the Kingdom. Not a week goes by without some activities going ahead including the recent Russian-Thai commemorative stamp celebrations at the Grand Postal Building, Bangkok.
Bangkok’s 19th International Festival of Dance and Music has also announced an opening performance “Katya & the Prince of Siam” a ballet based on the story of the fairy tale romance between a beautiful Russian girl and HRH Prince Chakrabongse of Siam.
The performance by the Ekaterinburg Ballet & Opera Theatre is choreographed and conducted by top names from the internationally famous Bolshoi Theatre. It will be held at the Thailand Cultural Centre on Ratchadaphisek Road, Bangkok.
The performance on Sept 11 is set to be the talk of the town. Prince Chakrabongse is the grandfather of M.R. Narisa Chakrabongse, a well-known Thai publisher, author, and environmental activist.
