Asian companies account for the largest proportion of bond issuance in emerging markets, Moody’s Investors Service reported on Monday

Asian businesses accounted for 60 per cent of the 473 emerging-market bonds that the ratings firm scored between 2011 and June this year.

Latin America accounted for a further 23 per cent, and emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the rest.

Chinese companies issued 72 percent of the Asian bonds during the period, with most of the issuances coming from property developers, Moody’s said.
