Thai sets MICE standard

Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) is moving forward to leverage MICE venues to achieve Asean venue standards.

Highlighting the role of Thailand as the leader of regional MICE standard development, TCEB has high hopes to equalise regional venue standards in regard to compete on a global scale. 

In 2016, Asean agreed to use Thailand’s MICE venue standard as the Asean venue standards. Countries certified with Asean MICE Venue Standards (AMVS) are Brunei with three venues, Cambodia with five venues, Indonesia with five venues, Laos five, Malaysia five, Myanmar five, Philippines five, Singapore four, Vietnam five and Thailand 13 

Chiruit Isarangkun na Ayuthaya, TCEB president, championed standardisation at the AMVS meeting held until September 15 at Centara Grand at CentralWorld.
