The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives will today ask the Ministry of Energy (MOE) to buy 100,000 tonnes of rubber in stock as a measure to ease price impact on rubber growers.

Grisada Boonrach, agriculture and cooperatives minister, said that the rubber of 100,000 tonnes is a part of total rubber of 310,000 tonnes bought by Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) during the Yingluck Shinawatraled government's Farmers' Institute capability development project to stabilise rubber prices and this government's buffer fund.
