Thai Airways International Plc (THAI) has drawn up a plan for Nok Air Plc and its management has been reviewed, THAI chairman Areepong Bhoocha-oom said.

Nok Air Plc’s chairman Somchainuk Engtrakul has already stepped down and major shareholders with a combined stake of 40 per cent will discuss the issue of replacement , he said.

THAI will also hold talks with this group of shareholders for solutions to Nok Air's problems.

The THAI board has recently decided to raise Nok Air's capital in the next two to three months.

Nok Air is in its bid to amend two to three issues in a contract and must solve them for higher efficiency, he said.

He viewed Nok Air as being sustainable with the cabin factor of 80 per cent. However, prices and costs must be improved.
