The Shell Company of Thailand Limited (SCOT) on Thursday launched Dynaflex Technology, a component of a range of new fuels.
The result of a five-year research and development collaboration between Shell scientists and Ferrari experts, the fuel was designed to help “helps maximize the performance and efficiency of cars in every driving condition,” said Ornuthai Na Chiangmai, executive director of retail business for The Shell Company of Thailand Ltd.
“The introduction of the new V-Power fuel in Thailand is part of Shell’s largest overall launch worldwide,” said Ornuthai. “I am confident with this new fuels technology we will be able to meet the needs of Thai motorists for greater performance and efficiency, which will drive Shell to become the most-loved brand in Thailand.”
Designed in collaboration with Scuderia Ferrari, the new Shell V-Power has 99 per cent of the components in the fuels used to power the Scuderia Ferrari team.
Shell V-Power Gasohol has three times more cleaning and friction-reducing molecules that help remove up to 80 per cent of performance-robbing deposits, the company said in a press release. Similarly, the diesel version helps remove the deposits that detract from performance and restore up to 100 per cent of the engine’s performance. “New Shell V-Power is the best quality fuel from Shell as shown by results from laboratory and road testing,” the company said.
In addition to its premium fuels, the technology is added to the entire product range, including Shell FuelSave and Shell E20 Gasohol.
