Maserati Thailand is hoping to enjoy a doubling in sales growth in Thailand this year, thanks to the official introduction of its Levante SUV.

With orders flowing in at the ongoing Motor Expo, Maserati Thailand is confident of securing sales of 40 units for 2017.

“During the last four years, Maserati sales worldwide had jumped from 6,000 units per year to 60,000 units per year (in 2016),” said Piyathep Sivakas, general manager of Maserati Thailand. “Maserati Thailand will contribute to the future growth of the Maserati brand.”

He said the Thai super-luxury car market is expected to reach 800 units this year while sales in 2018 could grow by 15-20 per cent.

Maserati also hopes to double sales in Thailand for another year in 2018, Piyathep said.

The company recently opened a Bt150-million showroom and service centre at A-Square Sukhumvit.
