Following the successful launch of its latest BMW 5 Series on the Thai market, BMW Thailand is continuing to offer superior journey experiences and the best in comfort with the delivery of the BMW 520d Luxury (Limited) to SO Sofitel Bangkok Hotel and the Oriental Trans and Car Service Company Limited.

The delivery saw the first-ever presentation of the model’s premium luxury and comfort to hotel guests and also reinforced the hotel’s reputation as a world-class accommodation provider and the leader in hospitality innovation.

Powered by a two-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, the BMW 520d Luxury (Limited) develops 140 kW/190 hp and a peak torque of 400 Nm. Boasting an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox, its fuel consumption is 20.0 km/litre while CO2 emissions stand at 132 g/km. The sedan accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 235 km/h. BMW 520d Luxury (Limited) features the latest-generation iDrive system, and a full array of entertainment and vehicle controls on a 8.8-inch, high-resolution control display that works in tandem with the iDrive Controller.

The model comes equipped with adaptive LED headlights with variable light distribution, including adaptive roundabout lights and BMW Selective Beam anti-dazzle high beam with a range of up to 500 meters. Maximising the levels of on-board comfort is greater legroom for rear-seat passengers.

The Special Synergy Thermoacoustic Capsule (SYNTAK) engine encapsulation technology brings about a noticeable reduction in noise levels inside the car.
