Chinese-owned British automaker MG will introduce its second vehicle in Thailand - the MG3 subcompact hatchback - at the Thailand International Motor Expo, which hits the road next week.
The MG3 is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1.5-litre, 16-valve engine developing 106 horsepower at 6,000rpm and 137Nm at 4,500rpm, The transmission is a 5-speed semi-automatic (e-shift), while the car’s CO2 emission is claimed to be 136g/km.
Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes 10.9 seconds and the top speed is said to be 180km/h. The hatchback’s fuel economy is claimed at approximately 16km/litre.
The car’s suspension features a front McPherson strut and rear torsion beam, while the brakes are vented discs up front and drums at the rear.
The subcompact is 4,016mm in length, 1,519mm in height and 1,727mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2,520mm.
