World in state of indecisiveness: BOT governor
The world is living in the state of "indecisiveness" which could explain the fragile recovery in the global recovery, said Bank of Thailand governor Prasarn Trairatvorakul.
At the Fitch Ratings (Thailand) conference today, Prasarn said that despite six years after the 2008 financial crisis, there is the indecisiveness how global economic forces will equilibrate.
Aside from uncertain growth prospects, there is the indecisiveness about the exit from policy accommodation especially in the US.
"This could actually continue to disrupt the process of global rebalancing for a while. Time and again, taking away the punch bowl has always been a tricky task for central bankers. But the impact has never been more global, given today's interconnected global financial market," he said.
