Two presenters named for Chevrolet Cruze
Chevrolet Sales Thailand (Chevrolet) has recently launched a new communications campaign for the Chevrolet Cruze with a more 'emotional' approach.
The new, dual-version TV commercial will feature Ploy Chermarn and Alex Teeradej, who will represent the Chevrolet human spirit. Additionally, a three-part short film featuring Ploy and Alex will also be developed for online and social media channels. These are aimed at boosting sale of Cruze, which was the third best-selling in the C-segment in 2011.
More than 1.13 million units were have been sold around the world since its launch in 2009. In Thailand, launched in 2010, it claimed sales of over 9,400 units.
"In December 2011, the Cruze recorded a segment share of 24 percent, making it the second best-selling car in the C-segment for the month, and the third best-selling car in its segment in 2011. The Cruze continued to receive very favorable response in January 2012, accounting for 22.5 percent of Chevrolet's total monthly sales for the month, said Antonio Zara, vice president of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, GM Thailand/SEA and Chevrolet Sales Thailand.
The TV commercial stems from an in-depth consumer study which identified the different needs and priorities of motorists.
In addition to the new TV commercial, a special, three-part short film will also be developed. The three short films, each 60 seconds in length, written and directed by renowned Thai film director, screenwriter and producer Tom Yuthlert Sippapak, will be developed specifically for distribution via online and social media channels, including www.facebook.com/chevyclub and www.chevrolet.co.th.
In conjunction with the new campaign, Chevrolet will also be offering a special monthly interest rate of 2.2 percent, based on a down-payment of 25 percent and a 48-month repayment period. Alternatively, customers can also opt for a low, nine-percent down-payment with a repayment period of 84 months. Both packages come with free first-class insurance for a year.
